CLIMBING IN BOHUSLÄN
The climbing in Bohuslän is world class. Here you will find climbing in practically every discipline: Trad, sport, bouldering and even deep water soloing ranging from grade 3 up to grade 9. The area is home to some of the most spectacular cliffs and walls in the country, with plenty of routes to choose from for all experience levels spread across over 100 different crags.
The Swedish Climbing Federation (SKF) will be on site to provide all the necessary information about climbing in the area. Additional information about climbing in Bohuslän can be found on 27 Crags as well as in the guidebooks "Klättring i Bohuslän - Norr om Gullmarsfjorden" by Hanna & Petter Restorp, "Klättring i Göteborg med Omnejd" by Tomasz Ratajczak, "Bouldringen i Bohuslän -1000 boulders in Bohuslän".
From the Festival area, it's between 5-20 minutes drive to most of the crags and boulders.
In the event of light rain, climbing is still possible in several places including Korpekullen, Granit Grottan, Vindön and more. Several crags dry quickly after rain.

UV BOULDER MAYHEM
Saturday evening, on the 16th, there will be a bouldering competition open for everyone.
You’ll have two categories to choose from: 6A–6C or 7A–7C, with four problems in each.
The challenge? You’ve got one hour to send as many as possible!
The boulder cube will be lit with UV light so bring your best florescent clothes for this one!
DJ Sound System 212 will keep the pulse high with groovy dance music alongside with live
percussion and vocals. Even if you do not wish to compete this UV light madness is a
spectacle you do not want to miss.
In collaboration with Backa Boulder and Klätterlabbet.

Climbing in Bohuslän should be considered a privilege so here are a
few things to consider while climbing in the area:
-
Buddy check
-
A knot at the end of the rope - enough length on the rope for the route.
-
Wearing a helmet.
-
Beware of climbers above you while walking around the crags.
-
Don't trust fixed gear blindly. Back up or change if necessary.
-
Special caution should be taken if you bring children to the crags.
-
Park only on designated parking spots, if the parking is full drive to another sector.
-
Do not under any circumstance park wherever there is free space, this behavior could
easily bring about the closing of a sector. -
Walk on designated paths.
-
Keep your dogs on a leash.
-
Brush off your climbing shoes before beginning an ascent and always brush off tickmarks
and chalk after your climb, even if you’re just warming up on a route. -
Remove yours and others litter from the sectors.
-
Keep shouting to a minimum - speakers playing loud music might not be so appreciated by everyone.
-
Warn other climbers if you see something that looks unsafe.
-
Be friendly to the locals, a simple Hello goes a long way.
-
Please read and follow local signs and don’t forget to pay the fee (for road, path and crag maintenance) at certain parking areas / sectors if this is requested.
-
