#1 Beginner Climbing
with Bohusfest Crew

Experience real rock climbing in magical Bohuslän! This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone ready to take the leap from the climbing gym to outdoor rock. We’ll have fixed top ropes and skilled belayers on hand to guide and support you. Suitable for all ages and skill levels.
Previous experience required: None!
Personal gear needed: Climbing shoes if you have them. If not, all equipment will be provided.
Time and place: Saturday 09.30 Meetup @ Camping. Duration approx 4 hours.
#2 Introduction to Trad Climbing
with Rafael Jensen
Legendary climber and alpinist with, among other things, an ascent of K2 on his record. A workshop for those of you who have never tried trad before but want to learn the basics of climbing magical cracks in Bohuslän. Topics that will be covered include: friction/dynamics, introduction to the placement of gear, anchor construction and much more.
Previous experience required: Basic knowledge of climbing.
Maximum participants: 8 people
Personal gear needed: Climbing shoes, harness, rope brake, preferably a helmet.

#3 Introduction to Trad Climbing
with Vertikalverket

Vertikalverket is one of the largest organizers of rock climbing courses on Sweden’s west coast. Founded by Petter and Karin, who bring years of experience across nearly every climbing discipline, Vertikalverket is dedicated to sharing their knowledge and passion with you in this workshop.
Previous experience required: Basic knowledge of climbing.
Maximum participants: 8 people
Personal gear needed: Climbing shoes, harness, rope brake, preferably a helmet.

#4 Masterclass Multi-pitch/Trad
with Freja Shannon
Freja is an alpinist and IFMGA mountain guide aspirant. She has climbed some of the biggest faces of the Alps and beyond. In her workshop Freja will teach and deepen your skills that are needed to be safe and efficient on multi-pitch trad climbing. Planning, transitions, climbing with a tagline and rapelling/bailing from long routes will be covered in this exciting clinic.
Previous experience required: Ability to climb at least Swedish grade 6- [IMPORTANT!]

#5 Masterclass Bouldering
with Said Belhaj

Previous experience required: Basic knowledge of climbing.
Maximum participants: 8 people
Personal gear needed: Climbing shoes, chalk and a crashpad if you have one.
Time and place: Saturday 09.30 Meetup @ Camping. Duration approx 4 hours.
Said has been climbing for over 30 years. He used to compete for the Swedish national team for 10 years in all disciplines and won the Swedish bouldering nationals several times.
In the last 20 years he has been focused on climbing on rock all over the climbing world and dedicates a big part of every season to bouldering. In this workshop he will share his experience in bouldering and especially how to bring out the best in your climbing and training for bouldering, as well as tips on safety.
#6 Masterclass Sportclimbing
with Hannes Puman

Previous experience required: Ability to lead climb at least 6a [IMPORTANT!]
Maximum participants: 8 people

Time and place: Saturday 09.30 Meetup @ Camping. Duration approx 4 hours.
One of the world’s most talented climbers with impressive performance on both rock and at competitions to his credit. Sport, trad, multi-pitch, bouldering - he does it all. He is Sweden's big hope to make it at the Olympics, meanwhile he has climbed some impressive routes on the world’s big faces. At this years Bohusfest he will teach you all his tricks in sport climbing and share his experience.
#7 Crack School
with Pete Whittaker

Learn the fundamentals of crack climbing with Pete Whittaker from Wide Boyz in this School of Cracks. Pete will show you the details and complexities of many jamming techniques and have you cruising the cracks in no time.
Previous experience required: Ability to climb at least Swedish grade 6- [IMPORTANT!]

#8 Climbing Performance Coaching
with Carlos Cabrera

Carlos is a life-science professional and climbing coach with many years of experience training climbers ranging from introductory to elite levels, having coached climbers such as Matilda Söderlund, Said Belhaj and numerous national team members. Carlo’s athletes perform at all levels from grade 6 to 9a+ routes, 8C boulder and finalists at World Cup and World championships.
f you climb mid 6-grade route and want to proceed further this workshop provides a solid introduction to how to optimise your climbing. During the workshop you will get technical and tactical advice, helping you to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses. You’ll receive individual advice with simple guidance on how to structure your training for better performance.
Previous experience required: Ability to lead climb at least 6b. Participants need to be at least 18 years old. [IMPORTANT!]
Maximum participants: 12 people
