ABOUT BOHUSFEST
Bohusfest is an annual music and climbing festival held in Bohuslän, Sweden, at Evja Folkets Hus, welcoming climbers of all levels and non-climbers with live music on two stages, inspiring talks from climbing legends, workshops including beginner sessions, bouldering competitions, climbing movies, Swedish folk music and dance, great food, sponsor gear showcases, and a lakeside sauna.
Bohusfest is an annual climbing and music festival in Bohuslän, Sweden, bringing together climbers of all levels, outdoor enthusiasts, and music lovers for a full weekend of granite, community, and culture. Held at Evja Folkets Hus, a historic cultural center built in 1925, we want to celebrate the unique climbing heritage of Bohuslän while creating a vibrant festival atmosphere open for all.
Evja Folkets Hus offers two stages, bathroom facilities, and beautiful surroundings of forest and a lake — all just minutes from the world-class granite climbing that Bohuslän is famous for. Whether you’re here for traditional climbing, sport climbing, bouldering, or simply to experience the Bohuslän climbing scene, Bohusfest is it.

During the festival, you can enjoy live music on two stages, inspiring talks from climbing legends, workshops including beginner climbing sessions, bouldering competitions, climbing film screenings, Swedish folk music and dance, sponsor exhibitions showcasing the latest climbing gear, and a selection of food trucks where you can buy delicious food and fresh coffee throughout the day.
When you need to unwind, we’ve got a (free) lakeside sauna from Bast Sauna, just a short 5-minute walk from the
festival — the perfect way to relax and connect with fellow climbers.
The Swedish Climbing Federation will be on-site to provide information about climbing in Bohuslän, local ethics, and how to make the most of your climbing festival experience.
Camping at Bohusfest
For the full Bohusfest experience, we offer on-site festival camping 400m from Evja Folkets Hus. The camping area includes portable toilets and a water tank with access to washing and drinking water, making it easy to stay comfortably throughout the weekend.
